1543 Copernicus Publishes His Theory of Heliocentrism

In 1543, Copernicus receives on his deathbed the first printed copy of De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium — and with that book, he removes the Earth from the center of the universe and places the Sun there instead, shattering two thousand years of Aristotelian certainty with a few pages of mathematics.
